J.D. Salinger

Jerome David Salinger was born in New York City on January 1, 1919 and has established his reputation through a single novel, The Catcher In The Rye. The amount of public attention that Salinger recieved due to the success of the book caused him to move to a remote area of New Hampshire, where he remains to the present day.
